Character appearance- PB as seen here, the girl in the center.
Character age- 11, though small for her age
Character history- Elisia was born in ND 2018 to a pair of farmers – Tim and Jane Harden – in the rural town of Engeve. They made deliveries in a small caravan all over Auldrant, going from Malkuth to Daath to Kimlasca and back again. For three years, her life was relatively simple – she was a normal little girl who loved her parents very much.
That changed on a trip to Daath one day.
The caravan hadn’t been able to afford a guard that day – harvest hadn’t been going well this year – but they decided to make the trip anyway. It wasn’t a good idea. A pack of wolves attacked the caravan, completely overwhelming those inside. In an attempt to draw them away from his family, Tim Harden started running in the opposite direction, yelling and waving. Little Elisia didn’t understand that, though; she thought her papa was leaving her and her mama alone. Jane picked up her daughter and started to ran, taking to the woods of the area. She tripped over a root, however, and sprained her ankle, unable to run. She urged her daughter to leave her, but Elisia wouldn’t. In a last ditch effort, she yelled at the girl, telling her she didn’t want her around. In a daze, Elisia stumbled away, running back to the caravan, past the bodies of the other merchants, and hiding inside the wrecked covered wagon.
Little Elisia was found hours later, remarkably untouched by the wolves, and brought to Daath. She had been the only survivor the caravan, though she didn’t know this – she just thought her parents had abandoned her. What her mother had said sunk in and she panicked, pulling away from the soldiers and slipping through the crowded streets. Her small size made it easy for her to hide in the small town and she did just that, staying underneath an overturned wagon for a day or so. She soon realized she needed to eat as well, so she wandered out into the crowds. She had no money, so she snuck a few pieces of food when no one was looking or slipped some gald off of tourists when she could. In the back of her mind, Elisia surely knew what she was doing was wrong, but the only thing she could think about was how her parents hadn’t wanted her and now she was alone.
Her pick-pocketing days lasted for only a few months, though, because one fateful day she was caught trying to steal an apple. She wasn’t just caught, though – she was caught by Anise Tatlin, Fon Master Guard. Anise talked to Elisia, trying to get her to return the apple…and asking where her parents were. Elisia immediately freaked out, trying to pull away and screaming, “Mama and Papa… Mama and Papa didn’t want Elisia! Mama and Papa left her! They left Elisia!” When Elisia started to cry, she stopped struggling and instead grabbed hold of Anise. The older girl, barely seventeen, hadn’t had much experience with children, but held her anyway, carrying her back to the Daath Cathedral.
Elisia stayed at the Cathedral, getting special treatment from those working there, especially Anise. A guard recognized her as the little girl who’s gone missing after the wolf attack several months prior and informed Anise of her experiences. When it was revealed that Elisia had no family remaining, not even in Engeve, Anise made the bold decision to have her stay in Daath. Her own parents lived in the Cathedral and they could help take care of her – but Anise made sure to stop in on the girl as much as she could. Ion, the Fon Master, naturally came with, and after seeing the compassion they felt for her, Elisia started to grow attached to both of them. In fact, in less than a year she was calling them “Anise-mama” and “Ion-papa.” They didn’t have the heart to correct her. Though Anise couldn’t actually adopt her until she reached the age of twenty, it didn’t take long for her to grow fond of the title.
As the “daughter” of the Fon Master Guardian, Elisia visited the other nations with her “parents,” so she met the children of the other heads as well. She became fast friends with Slyvia, the daughter of the Kimlascan King and Queen, and took to Zach, the son of the Count of Hod, as well, adopting him as her big brother. She’d often end up playing “tag” with him, though, as Gelda, the heir to Malkuth, told her what a fun game it was. Elisia didn’t mind – she was just happy she wasn’t alone anymore.
During one of her explorations of the Cathedral she stumbled upon something quite odd – a person who looked identical to her Ion-papa. The teenager was just as shocked to see her, and when she asked him who he was he told her, “Fon Master Ion’s brother Florian.” Elisia didn’t know that he was, like her father figure, one of the original Ion’s replicas, and that he’d been with Mohs, the leader of a sect of the Order of Lorelei the people were coming to call the “Grand Maestro Faction,” for three years after his creation. One of the members of this Grand Maestro Faction had stumbled upon him, held up in a little room, and panicked, bringing his existence to the public eye. Ion stepped in right away, informing the public that this boy was his brother Florian – someone who he’d believed to be dead for quite some time. Florian, who at the time had the mind of an innocent child, wanted to learn more about his “family” and Mohs could not keep him against his will and keep the Order of Lorelei happy. The public story was that Florian had head trauma and therefore did not remember his past. He had to be re-taught everything. Thus Elisia had not met Florian for her two years in the Cathedral…but she immediately took to him, stating he was her “Uncle Florian.” From that moment on, he watched her whenever Anise and Ion couldn’t, and he loved every minute of it.
The years passed, and when Elisia was seven Anise was able to legally adopt her, making her Elisia Tatlin. She happily accepted her new family.
Three years later, however, while playing hide-and-seek with Sylvia and her little brother Nathan, she overheard a very interesting conversation. A man she only recognized in pictures was talking to Ion and Anise, asking – no, demanding that Ion join with his faction. Ion very calmly turned him down, saying that the ideas and the beliefs of the “Grand Maestro Faction” did not coincide with the people’s best interests anymore. The man – Grand Maestro Mohs – assured them both that they’d regret the decision as he left. When Elisia asked who he was later, Anise only answered that he was a “very mean man” who needed Ion’s help with something. Elisia didn’t like the mean man at all.
Only a few days later, the Grand Maestro Faction officially declared war on those who didn’t follow their beliefs. An attack on Belkend – a fon machine city that outwardly supported the new teachings – was the first to get attacked, along with the city of Sheridan. Belkend was completely leveled.
Ion had to go and meet with the generals and other nation heads more and more often, and Elisia was often left with Florian. Her panic attacks about her “parents” leaving her became more and more frequent and sometimes not even Florian could quell them. When they got word that the Cheagle Woods – home of the Cheagles, a sacred beast of the Order of Lorelei – had been burned down and completely decimated, Ion personally went to see if there were any survivors. Elisia wanted to go as well, for she’d been to the Cheagle Woods a few times and actually played with some of the young Cheagles, but Ion and Anise both made her stay in Daath. She cried herself to sleep while they were gone, barely consolable. She was even worse when they returned and the sad truth was realized – no living Cheagles could be found anywhere. They had been wiped out.
Things got worse a few months before the one-year anniversary of the war. The Isle of Feris had been attacked, and though both Kimlasca and Malkuth had joined with Ion’s faction – the “Fon Master Faction” as they were being called – the Grand Maestro Faction still had a lot of power behind them, and a lot of supporters of “the old ways.” While inadvertently eavesdropping on her adoptive mother and father figure once again, she learned that Zach had gone missing from Hod and no one could find him. Elisia had another panic attack, this time only coming out of it when both Anise and Ion consoled her.
She grew increasingly paranoid, afraid that her other friends, or worse her parents, would disappear as well. She never would’ve guessed that only four months after Zach’s disappearance, she too would vanish into thin air…
Character personality- For all extents and purposes, Elisia is a happy little girl, cheerful and loving. She is incredibly naïve for her age, but possesses a deep fear that those she loves will leave her or suddenly not want her, ingrained in her due to the situation involving death of her parents. If she thinks someone is going to leave her, she freaks out and starts speaking in third person, begging the person not to go. After the start of the war, her panic attacks grew more frequent and she in general became more and more worried about her friends and adoptive family. Few can calm her down when she gets in that sort of state.
Digimon personality- BlackGabumon is a usually gruff Digimon, enjoying his alone time and not worrying about others. He has one, big weakness, though, and that’s kids. He absolutely can’t be mean to a kid – in fact, kids make him nice. He can’t help but act like a big puppy to try and help cheer up a sad kid.
Character abilities- Honestly? Elisia is not a fighter at all. She hasn’t trained in Fonic Artes of any kind, and Anise and Ion kept her from leaning any sort of swords training or fighting maneuvers. The only thing she can do with fonons is gather light fonons – ones that she particular became attached to – and create a portable night lightawww. So what can she do? Well, she’s good at sneaking up on people and has a surprisingly quick hand – must come from her few months as a pick-pocket. Also, beware if you get caught by her Big Doe Eyes. They are impossible to say no to.
